CONFIRMATIONS 2026 - All who have been baptised and are either adults or children in Year 6 and above are invited to be confirmed as the next step in their faith. We plan to hold a Ministry Area confirmation service on Pentecost (Sunday May 24th). Anyone wishing to be confirmed should speak to Mthr Sian for more information.

FLOWER ROTA - The new flower rota is now on the notice board in the porch.

PLANNED FINANCIAL GIVING
All things come from you, Lord,
and of your own do we give you.

St Peter’s Church currently loses £10,000 per year due to not meeting our running costs.

If everyone reading this gave an extra £20 per month, we would be able to balance our books.

If everyone gave an extra £40 per month, we would be able to start essential building works to futureproof our church

The best way we can plan for the future and ensure St Peter’s continues to be a safe and welcoming space is for its members to give regularly through planned financial giving.

The Church in Wales makes it incredibly easy to do this via the Gift Direct Scheme, where in just a few minutes you can set up a monthly payment directly to St Peter’s Church. You can find out more about this and set up your planned giving by speaking to our church wardens.

However you give, you can use the Gift Aid scheme to increase your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you - speak to Steve for more information.

COINS FOR CHANGE - This Lent we will be handing out jars for collecting loose change. If you have any clean, empty jars that we could use for this, please leave them at the back of church.

GETTING INVOLVED IN THE LIFE OF ST PETER’S: The body of Christ needs all its members to function properly, and St Peter’s needs people of all ages and abilities to help contribute to the life and worship of the church. Volunteering to help make teas and coffees after services, to help out in Junior Church, to serve, read, lead intercessions, or get involved in another aspect of church life is important for school applications, provides a space to make new friends, but most importantly it helps to build up our common life as Christians in Fairwater. If you’re interested in finding out more about donating your time as a volunteer please speak to Mthr Sian or one of our churchwardens.

If you have something you’d like to go in next week’s newsletter, please email sianparker@cinw.org.uk before Thursday lunchtime

If you know of anyone who cannot come to church and would like to receive home communion or a visit, please speak to Mthr Sian
